Brief History
The Department of Planology Engineering with the Urban and Regional Planning Study Program at Trisakti University is under the auspices of the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology (FALTL) in addition to two other departments, namely the Department of Landscape Architecture and the Department of Environmental Engineering. This new department is a Strata 1 (S1) program, which was opened in the 1996/1997 academic year in accordance with the Decree. 377/DIKTI/KEP/1996, and obtained Accredited status with rank C in the 2002/2003 academic year in accordance with the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 016/BAN-PT/AK-VII/S1 /VII/2003. in 2007/2008 the Department of Planology Engineering has been able to improve its status by obtaining accreditation with a B rating in accordance with the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 010/BZN-PT/AK-XI/S1/VI/ 2008. Then in 2018/2019 the Department of Planning Engineering has been able to improve its status again by getting Accreditation with an A rating in accordance with the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) of the Indonesian Ministry of National Education Number 2731/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/ S/ X/2018.
The opening of this department was based on the idea that the need for physical planners in the government sector was increasing in line with the (at that time) regional autonomy plan and the opening of job opportunities in the private sector. In addition, based on existing data, the percentage of planology graduates from other universities working in the private sector is still low, which is estimated because the existing quality has not been able to meet the demands of business-oriented companies, lack detailed knowledge of detailed work, and lack of knowledge. and political insight.
The Department of Planning Engineering, FALTL, Trisakti University was developed with an emphasis on “Urban Development Planning Issues” and expects its graduates to have a “sense of public services and business”. To provide this added value, in addition to the standard core curriculum, students are also given sufficient insight and knowledge about management, economics and social fields, especially those related to physical planning.
