Visit Rammang-Rammang, Nusantara Module Students Ready To Help Promotion

POJOKSULSEL.com, MAROS – A number of students from the independent student exchange program in the country are trying to help develop the Rammang-Rammang karst tourism area, Maros, South Sulawesi. This intention was conveyed by a number of these exchange students while visiting Rammang-Rammang, Saturday (27/11).

As a first step, the student who came from a number of universities in Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan conducted a survey and communicated directly with the community in the Rammang-Ramman area.

“We were amazed to see Rammang-Rammang. We don't just visit. Hopefully when we return from here we can see the problems and provide alternative solutions for Rammang-Rammang development," said Cristian Elia Butar Butar, a student at Tri Sakti University Jakarta.

During the visit, these 18 students made observations and interviews with a number of people. They were accompanied by their supervisor, Yasdin and mentors from students.

“I asked them to observe. The goal is to not only introduce South Sulawesi, I hope they have a solution to help develop Rammang-Rammang from an academic point of view from their various scientific backgrounds," said Yasdin, Field Advisor while accompanying.

This student visit is part of a series of Nusantara Module activities from the Independent Domestic Student Exchange Program. "So this archipelago module activity aims to instill an understanding of diversity, provide inspirational value, provide dedication, and reflect," said Yasdin who is also the Head of the Research and Innovation Center for LP2M UNM.

The arrival of the Nusantara module students was warmly welcomed by the people of Rammang-Rammang. Salaag a figure, Haji Kamaluddin said:

gratitude for the visit of this archipelago module student.

"We are grateful, this will certainly be a promotion for Rammang-Rammang tourism because they are from Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan. This is certainly very helpful for us. We hope to help us to develop Rammang-Rammang from an academic point of view. We need input,” said Haji Kamaluddin when welcoming the students of the Nusantara module program.
